| Description
The arc (line) locations of Trails and Greenways within the State of Georgia was collected and located by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Center for Spatial Analysis Technologies at Georgia Tech and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Parks Recreation and Historic Sites (GaDNR). These areas include sites both existing and proposed: Hiking Trails, Scenic Byways, Greenways, Bikeways, Equestrian Trails, Water Trails, and Off-Road Vehicle Trails. The locations were mapped onto existing 1:100,000 scale maps and digitized from the mylar maps (1993). Also contained in the data layer are 122 map annotations which may be used in labeling a statewide map. |
