State Parks

Description

Data for four additional State parks and State historic sites were added to the database, bringing the total to sixty-three sites.

The point location of fifty-nine State parks and State historic sites were collected and located by the U.S. Geological Survey Center for Spatial Analysis Technologies at Georgia Tech and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Division. Team leads for this effort were Jack Alhadeff for USGS and Alicia Soriano for GaDNR. The locations were mapped onto existing 1:100,000 scale maps and digitized from the mylar maps.
