Description

The ROADS data layer is a compilation of the 1:100,000 scale Digital Line Graph (DLG) data extracted from the Transportation data set for the state of Georgia. These data have been processed using ARC/INFO ((c) 1996 ESRI Inc.) to create an integrated digital product from both spatial analysis alone or in conjunction with similer data. This data has been internally edgematched within 1:100,000 scale map sheets. No external edgematching has been performed. The data contains only linear features for highways, roads, and trails, and associated infrastructures such as bridges, overpasses, and tunnels. This data has been clipped to the boundary of the State of Georgia using 1:100,000 scale boundary data from U.S. Department of Commerce, Census Bureau, TIGER line files, 1990.

Information about individual 100,000-scale DLG records can be obtained from the EROS Data Center.
