Public Science Day 1999

Sponsored by CEISMC (Georgia Tech's Center for Education In Science Mathematics and Computing) Public Science Day invited third through eighth grade students to participate in hands-on activities to help them understand natural phenomena and the importance that science and technology play in their lives. Programs were developed by local science resources, such as aquariums, museums, zoos, planetariums, hospital laboratories and universities, to give in-depth, behind-the- scenes presentations to participants. Dow Chemical's Cranium Palladium is presented "live" at the Theater of the Arts. These activities took place at Georgia Tech and other sites throughout the Atlanta area on Wednesday and Thursday, February 3 and 4, 1999.
