Mission Statement



The mission of CSAT is
  1. To accelerate the development of priority spatial data sets to assist in solving environmental, planning and management problems
  2. To foster the research, development, and sharing of spatial data collection, management, and analytical techniques
  3. To foster education and training in usage of spatial analysis technologies that will benefit our society.



VISION STATEMENT


Plan to have a significant role in supporting our society's changing needs for environmental information. Imagine what society needs and what USGS, Georgia Tech and supporting Agencies can produce for the 21st Century. Imagine new organizational structures to best attain this. To work with environmental data, spatial data analyses, and spatial technologies research and education to help our society improve the quantity and quality of all of our lives.
